PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the effect of heating, in a cooling and heating device for buses or the like by providing such an arrangement that cooling water for a traction engine is led to a radiator for an auxiliary engine upon stopping of the auxiliary engine. CONSTITUTION:Upon heating an auxiliary engine is stopped while a water pump 41 is operated by opening dampers 20, 23, and as well a blower 12 and a motor fan 18 are energized. Further heated cooling water having cooled a traction engine 37 flows, as shown by the arrow, into a heating radiator 9 through a defroster 43 to heat air for a passenger compartment, which is instroduced by the blower 12, and the thus heated air flows through a duct 27 on the vehicle side from ducts 24 through 26 and is jetted from a blow-off duct 28 into the passenger compartment. Therefore, heated water introduced into a radiator 4 raises the temperature of air for the passenger compartment, which is taken into the radiator 4 through an intake port 21. This air is then jetted from a duct 16 through ports 31. With this arrangement it is possible to aim at enhancing the effect of heating. |
