PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a smoothing condenser by shortening the discharging time of the condenser and controlling to raise the discharge finishing potential. CONSTITUTION:A charging is performed through a diode 31 from a point Z of a half cycle before one to a peak value P. When the discharge is started from the point P, a voltage at a point Y is detected and a switch 4 becomes ON, an electric amount stored in the capacitor 2 is supplied through the switch 4 to a load, but the potential of the output terminal (e) is raised to become a potential P', a discharge is achieved in accordance with the waveform shown by a solid line from the potential, and electric power is supplied to the load. Then, the voltage at the point Z is detected, the switch 4 is turned OFF, and the discharge of the next half cycle is started. Thus, since the discharging period M is shortened, the capacity of the condenser 2 can be reduced. |
