PURPOSE:To obtain a medium contrast recording with wide gradation range and less in the reduction of resolution by adding a picture density signal and a density signal stored already and using the added density signal as a recording signal when said signal exceeds the density signal of a minimum dot. CONSTITUTION:The density signal 32 is inputted to an adder 33 from a picture signal source 31 in synchronizing with a clock 50 from a clock generator 49. The density signal 45 is outputted also from a storage means 44 to the adder 33, where a new density signal 34 is inputted to a comparator 35 and a switch means 41. The comparator 35 compares the density signal 34 with a density signal recording the minimum dot, and when the density signal 34 is lower than the density signal 38, a white level density signal 40 is given to a head drive means 46 and the density signal 34 is given to the storage means 44. When the density signal 34 is higher than the density signal 38 conversely, the density signal 34 is given to the head drive means 46 and the white level density signal 40 is given to the storage means 44. |
