Foaming styrene resin particles coated with ester are prepared from aliphatic carbonic acid(1), aliphatic alcohol ester, and pulverized additives by mixing them with the resin particles. (1) is in solid phase and does not have a hydroxyl gp. Melting point of (1) is 50-110≦̸C, and the particle diameter of (1) is less than 60 mesh. Additives used are zinc stearate, calcium stearate, aluminum stearate, cadmium stearate, ethylene bis-stearoamide, methylene bis-stearoamide and stearic acid amide.
