PURPOSE:To prevent decomposition of thiamine in a raw feed, by blending a raw feed for mink with thiamine covered with a coating agent or a thiamine salt. CONSTITUTION:A raw feed such as sardine and/or mackerel pike, or is blended with thiamine or a thiamine salt covered with a coating agent comprising a higher fatty acid, glycerine fatty acid ester, higher alcohol, waxy material, wax, or natural or synthetic high polymer compound as a main agent. In the feed, elution of thiamine or its salt is effectively suppressed in the minced meat, so decomposition of thaimine in the raw feed can be prevented. Consequently, thiaminase-containing fish to be caught in large quantitites such as an anchovy, mackerel pile, etc. which could not be used in the past can be used. Since digestion, absorption, and metabolism of carbohydrate is done smoothly, it has good influence on growth, digestion and absorption, and palatability of mink. |
