PURPOSE:To suppress lowering of carrying capacity due to adhesion of dust and to prevent jamming of paper by providing a device that cleans the platen transport belt in an original carrying device. CONSTITUTION:When dust adheres to the surface of the platen transport belt 2 after plural times of copying, a cleaning command key 10 in the console 12 is turned on to input to a controlling section 8 and an electromagnetic body 6 is driven by a driving circuit 11. A supporting member 9 is lowered against a spring 9a by protruding a plunger 7. A blade brush 5 is moved to a position shown by solid lines and brought into contact with the belt 2. Linked with rotation of the belt 2, the brush 5 is rotated to remove dust, and after removing dust, driving of the electromagnetic body 6 is stopped by operation of the key 10. Sand paper can be used in place of the blade brush 6. |
