Transverse perforated gunpowder rods inhibitor is a water dispersible polyurethane made of aliphatic isocyanate and a caprolactone polyester. Inhibitor is applied by painting, spraying or dipping. It is film forming or polymerised and its burning rate does not exceed half that of the powder. Stabiliser is of formula (I). R = polymerisation initiator and the molecular weight of the polyurethane lies between 200 and 6000. (Provisional Basic previously advised in week 8510) |
