PURPOSE:To change the layout on an actual paper sheet by dividing a data constituting a paper sheet into rectangular areas of the identical attributes and managing separately the area and data to control the area on the layout screen. CONSTITUTION:A position converting section 13 uses position coordinates and attributes of a rectangular area from a storage device 11, forms data for picture screen for layout display and stored the data in a storage device 14. The position information on a CRT display section 2 specified by a cursor is stored in a register 16. The position converting section 13 uses the data in the storage device 14, converts the position coordinates in the register 16 into coordinates in the rectangular area and stores it in a register 17 together with an iD representing a specified rectangular area. When a command inputted from a keyboard 1 is a moving command, a program refers to a rectangular area of processing object and a destination coordinate in the register 17 to change the position coordinate in the rectangular area of rocessing object in the storage device 11 to the destination coordinate. |
