DEVICE FOR SUPPRESSING FLICKER COMPONENT INCLUDED IN TELEVISION VIDEO SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a video signal without flicker by modulating a video signal including a flicker component with a signal having an opposite phase and the same amplitude as the flicker component. CONSTITUTION:A suppressing signal forming circuit 6 extracts a frequency components being twice that of a lighting power supply frequency and forms a suppressing signal having opposite phase from a television video signal in which a flicker component having the said frequency of the lighting power source lighting an image pickup object is possibly included. An amplitude modulating circuit 3 amplitude-modulates the television video signal having the possibility of the flicker component and a remaining flicker component detecting circuit 4 extracts the said frequency component from an output of an amplitude modulating circuit. A switching circuit adjusts the level of the suppressing signal in the direction that the remaining flicker component is decreased by using the output of the circuit 4 and gives it to the circuit 3 as a modulation signal.
