PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material with excellent corrosion resistance by introducing a Tb-Dy-Co amorphous thin film as the photomagnetic recording material. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous photomagnetic recording material, introduced as a photomagnetic recording material, has a composition expressed by (Tb1-xDyx)y CO1-y (where 0<=x<=1.0, 0.16<=y<=0.3) and has an easy-to-magnetize axis along the direction perpendicular to the film surface. If the maintaining temperature of the material is not specified, the composition range suitable for a photomagnetic material is obtained by taking the ratio of Tb 0.16-0.30. From the more practical point of view, it is preferable that the magnetic compensation temperature is near the room temperature and the ratio of Tb within the range of 0.18- 0.22 is desirable for a photomanetic material. As Co is used as a basic material, there is no problem about corrosion resistance property. |
