PURPOSE:To provide the titled rubber composition having improved impact resilience, and containing a rubber component composed of a specific styrene- butadiene copolymer rubber obtained by introducing a (thio)benzophenone compound in the molecular chain. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains a rubber component consisting of (A) 20-95wt% of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having a bonded styrene content of 10-40wt%, 1,2-bond content in the butadiene unit of 10- 50wt% and a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100 deg.C) of 20-150, and containing >=0.1mol of (thio)benzophenone compound residue in 1mol of the molecular chain, (B) 60-5wt% of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having a bonded styrene content of 3-20% and 1,2-bond content in the butadiene unit of 40-80%, and (C) 40-0wt% of a polybutadiene rubber having a 1,2-bond content of <=20% and a Mooney viscosity of 20-100.
