The invention relates to a device for flow distribution in heat exchangers in which an exposed tube system through which a first flowing medium flows is arranged in a housing having in-feed and discharge connections. The device is constructed as a roof-shaped baffle having a varying perforation, the side facing the tube system being divided into collecting chambers which are separated by web plates. The length of the baffle, the type of perforation and the construction of the individual bores are configured such that the exposed tube system is uniformly subjected with a minimum pressure loss to the second flowing medium.
