PURPOSE:To improve a shelf life by incorporating a specific comp. in an emulsion doped with rhodium. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by the general formula (in which Z is a carbon atom group which may form a six-membered ring. X is a halogen, cyano, aryl, alkyl, alkoxy, sulfo or carboxyl group. A is oxygen, =N-OHoB is hydrogen, alkyl, amino, -NHR, NR2, -OR0M and n are 0-3) in an emulsion contg. silver halide particles which are silver chlorobromide particles contg. at least 60mol% silver chloride or silver chlorobromoiodide particles contg. at least 60mol% silver chloride and 5mol% silver iodide and are internally doped with rhodium atom. The shelf life of the material is improved while the higher contrast by rhodium is maintained. |
