PURPOSE:To form precisely and highly efficiently a tapered plate material having a different sectional shape by providing moving roll dies which are axially movable adjacently to stationary roll dies and moving the moving roll dies by means of a sheet cam. CONSTITUTION:A plate material is inserted between roll dies 9, 11 and roll dies 10, 12, and a sheet cam 13 is inserted between guide roll dies 14 and 15. Since the flange 11a of the die 11 traces the inside of the inclined guide groove 13b of the cam 13, the dies 11 and 12 move integrally on driving shafts 6, 7 on account of the engagement between a projection 11b and the groove 12a. The distance between the dies 9, 10 and the dies 11, 12 changes consequently with the engaging position of the groove 13b and the flange 11a and the width of the plate material formed changes correspondingly. The plate material is thus formed into a tapered shape. |
