The invention relates to the field of permanent protection of roofs against moss by the even diffusion, by rain, of the copper oxide salts. It comprises a copper strip which is notched on its lower edge 1 and fitted to the roof by hooks 2 with a staple 3 which are provided with studs 4 clamping the strip in order to hold it flat. This method allows an easier maintenance of poorly-exposed roofs, where access is difficult for carrying out repeated moss-removing operations. <IMAGE>
