In said device associated with a rotary carburator, the passageways of an idle conduit (17a, 17b) and of an air conduit (23) connecting the suction channel (2) to the atmosphere are controlled by means of a regulating member (22) and as a function of the vacuum prevailing downstream of the closed throttle-valve (16). The regulating member (22) comprises a slide (24) and a pressure gauge for the idle conduit (17a, 17b) and a valve (43) for the air conduit (23). During idling (vacuum), the air conduit (23) is closed and the vane wheel (6) rotates with a constant speed owing to the idle line (17a, 17b) of which the passage suction is regulated so that the carburator (3) prepares the idle mixture. When the pressure rises and exceeds the idling negative pressure, the valve (43) is opened and additional air admitted by the air conduit (23) dilutes the enriched air-fuel mixture entering through the idle conduit (17a, 17b). Thereby, uniform operating conditions are obtained when the engine is idle and the throttle-valve (16) is closed, and a reduction of noxious gas, particularly during a rapid closure of the throttle-valve, is achieved. |
