PURPOSE:To achieve the afterglow of a glow plug without separating the load from a generator and make temperature adjustment ever so easy, by lowering output voltage of the generator in time of afterglowing. CONSTITUTION:In time of complete ignition in an engine, a control unit 4 comes into afterglow whereby a level of an output wire 4c turns to H, opening a contact 81. During afterglowing, output voltage of an alternator 6 is held down to some extent, and the voltage to be impressed on a glow plug 3 also drops. With this constitution, temperature in the glow plug can be kept almost constant without any on-off operation on a transistor Tr and, what is more, the glow plug temperature in time of afterglowing can be kept in a constant value without giving the alternator a load variation. |
