The control system includes memory circuitry (104, 105, 106, 107) for storing a plurality of numerical values (Nf1 to Nf9) corresponding to feed speeds (F1 to F9), command circuitry (101, 102, 103) for issuing a command indicative of a prescribed numerical value e.g. Nf1 (by designating a feed speed) from among the numerical values (Nf1 to Nf9), arithmetic circuitry (108, 109) for incrementing or decrementing a numerical value (Nf1) read from the memory circuitry in response to an output pulse (UPP or DWP) from a manually operated device, and pulse generating circuitry (110) for generating pulses (OVFP) of a frequency (F0 which is proportional to the numerical value (Nf1) from the arithmetic circuitry as incremented or decremented by the arithmetic circuitry. |
