PURPOSE:To mold continuously a thermal contraction tube whose contraction rate, thickness and length are freely selectable, by a method wherein a flat tape discharged from a flat die is supplied to a pivot body and the flat tape wound around the pivot body is made to connect longitudinally in an overlapping state with each other. CONSTITUTION:A tape B is discharged from a die 2 of an extruder, supplied to the circumferential surface of an imaginary cylindrical rotary body 1, wound continuously around the same and at the same time a front edge side of the tape to be wound later is overlapped at least on a rear edge side of the tape wound around the rotary body 1 in advance and this superposed part is made to adhere through pressure by a pressing roller 8. With this construction, the tape is molded continuously into a tubular state on the circumferential surface of the imaginary cylindrical rotary body 1. Then the molded tape is supplied on an imaginary conic-trapezoidal rotary body 9 connected with the tip part of the imaginary cylindrical rotary body 1 an is received while it is being kept at a temperature more than a softening point and less than a boiling point and expanded continuously and cooled. |
