The invention describes a system for displaying various status variables in a motor vehicle. Here, several items of information are applied to a single information carrier, and by influencing the display means only one item of information of the information carrier is displayed whilst the other items of information are suppressed. For example, a transparent carrier with red and green items of information applied to it on a non-transparent background only shows the red display in the case of red illumination and only shows the green display in the case of green illumination. |
