PURPOSE:To provide an Fe-Cr-Co sintered magnet alloy which provides an excellent magnetic characteristic by incorporating Cr, Co and rare earth elements respectively at prescribed ratios and composing of the balance substantially Fe. CONSTITUTION:An Fe-Cr-Co sintered magnet alloy consists of Fe-Cr-Co alloy powder composed, by weight, of 17-15% Cr and 5-30% Co added, by weight, with 0.01-5% rare earth element (>=1 kind of Y and lanthanoid element) as represented by La, Ce, MM. The rare earth element is added to the alloy powder to improve its sinterability and to remove oxygen detrimental to the magnetic characteristic of the magnet alloy. 0.01-5% >=1 kind among Si, Ti, Al, Nb, Ta, and V, etc. are further added to the above-mentioned alloy powder, whereby the Fe-Cr-Co sintered magnet alloy having an excellent magnetic characteristic is provided. |
