PURPOSE:To ensure the general-purpose properties of a CAD system by producing a table to give a significance to the graphic data. CONSTITUTION:The model type, the model name and the drawing name are fed from a graphic input device 18, and a user application 14 extracts the designated model structure definition table and graphic DB/work DB interface table out of a model structure definition table file 13 and then sets them to a graphic data significance table 22. Then a designated drawing is extracted out of a graphic DB11 with reference to a model defining part of a model structure definition table 24 and then displayed on a graphic display 17. If the designated drawing is not stored in the graphic DB11, the application 14 refers to both drawing and pattern defining parts to form a desired drawing. This drawing is displayed on the screen of the display 17. |
