<p>The clarifier is mounted in the ditch and has an upstream baffle which divides the circulating liquid into upper and lower streams. The lower stream passes beneath the clarifier while the upper stream enters the clarifier. The angles bars which define the floor of the clarifier are spaced to produce slots through which solids can be discharged from the clarifier into the lower stream. The angle of the slots assists in drawing solids from the clarifier. Clarified liquids are removed from an overflow weir within the clarifier. - A clarified liquid is extracted from an oxidised ditch waste water treatment system. Solids removed by the clarifier are remixed with the feed water to eliminate the need to drain the ditch for cleaning. (0/8)</p> |
