PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body uniform on the surface and having good electrostatic characteristics by forming a photosensitive layer on a cylindrical substrate formed by cutting a cylinder manufactured through DI working. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical substrate 2 formed by cutting a cylinder manufactured through a DI working, and a photosensitive layer made of a photoconductor, such as selenium, formed on the substrate 2 constitute an electrophotographic sensitive body 1. Said DI working (Deep Drawing and Ironing) is the working method in which a punched disc formed by press punching a rolled plate is drawn with drawing dice with a punch, and squeezed with a squeezing die to form a vessel having a bottom, that is, a cylinder having a bottom. The last squeezing die decides the outer diameter of said cylinder, and the clearance between the punch and the die decides the outer diameter size. |
