The metallic window or door blind includes perimetral side sections (1) for vertical and horizontal use and slat-forming sections (2). A set of rack boxes (11) are inserted inside both vertical side sections and function to rotate the slats. Each box has a gear wheel sector. - Each sector has a frusto-conical hole to receive a tapered pin of a coupling device mounted in each slat section. Each coupling device has a spring to act on the associated pin and block the vertical sections between slide battens (15a) of a window or door frame (15). (First major country equivalent to ES8403558) EPAB- EP-119369 B A blind assembly particularly for insertion within the aluminium frame (15) of a fixed or movable glass window or glass door, comprising a perimetral frame (1) having both vertical and horizontal sides formed from a standard suitable section, a plurality of slats (2), and means located within a said vertical perimetral frame section (1) for rotating the slats (2) between open and closed positions, said means including for each slat a cog wheel member (12) non-rotatably connected to the slat and meshing with a respective single slidable rack (13), said racks being coupled for simultaneous movement, characterised in that each rack (13) is slidably received in a respective rack box (11), a respective rack box being provided at each end of each slat (2), each rack box (11) enclosing also said cog wheel member which is in the form of a cog wheel sector (12), that each cog-wheel sector has a tapered non-circular hole (12b) receiving a complementary shaped tapered pin (4) of a coupling device (3) mounted in each end of each slat (2), each coupling pin (4) being biassed outwardly by a spring (14) in the coupling device (3), to retain the pin (4) in the tapered hole (12b) of the cog-wheel sector (12) and to maintain the vertical perimetral sections (1) against the window or door frame, and that a pair of fixed slats (6,7) is provided, each being received in an opening (1e) of a respective one of the upper and lower perimetral frame sections (1).
