摘要 The coupling device (2), which is part, in particular, of a two-speed transmission (3), has a hollow shaft (4), a permanently magnetic armature (15, 16, 17, 18) displaceable in the said shaft, polarised in its longitudinal direction and having wedges (13, 14) arranged at both ends, a magnet coil (19) arranged around the hollow shaft (4), fixed soft-magnetic bodies (21, 22) in the form of annular discs on both sides of the magnet coil (19) and, next to the said bodies on the hollow shaft (4), rotatable coupling sleeves (5, 6) with coupling grooves (7, 8) facing towards the hollow shaft, and coupling balls (11, 12) which are situated in openings (9, 10) in the hollow shaft and are aligned radially to the coupling grooves. In response to a current pulse within the magnet coil (19), the armature (15) displaces the wedge (13) towards one coupling sleeve (5) and hence also displaces the coupling balls (11) radially outwards, bringing about torque transmission between the hollow shaft (4) and the coupling sleeve (5). The soft-magnetic bodies (21, 22) hold the armature (15) and the wedges (13, 14) in the said coupling alignment. A current pulse of the opposite polarity effects a displacement of the armature (15) into the other position, the coupling procedure thereby being reversed. <IMAGE>
