<p>Burner for a melting furnace, mounted in a burner opening of the furnace wall, has a housing or a burner head at its front end, with a drive for inserting the head in the opening or withdrawing it. A closure stopper with a drive is provided for sealing the opening and a changer puts either the stopper or the burner head in a position aligned with the axis of the burner opening. - The changer has a carriage and drive on a fixed framework and the burner housing and stopper are located one on top of the other on - the carriage.</p> |
