PURPOSE:To improve fh distortion by employing such a rectangular plane diaphragm that its flexural strength is not constant on a straight line extending from the center to a side, and constituting a speaker so that the flexural strength is minimum on diagonal line and maximum on the center line. CONSTITUTION:The plane diaphragm 16 is constituted by adhering surface materials 32 and 33 made of aluminum foil to both surfaces of a core material 31 made of a CFRP sheet. The core material 31 is so combined that parallel corrugated ribs are extended from respective sides of the square to cross each other on the diagonal lines of the square. Consequently, the flexural strength on the diagonal line is much less than that on the center line. Nodes formed on the diagonal line are close to the center part and nodes formed on the center line are closer to the sides, so that a nearly circular shape is formed on the whole as shown by a broken line (b). |
