PURPOSE:To form a weld metal having low hardness and high toughness by inserting a ferritic stainless steel pipe into an austenitic stainless steel pipe plate hole, and executing the welding of a low dilution ratio of the ferritic stainless steel pipe. CONSTITUTION:A ferritic stainless steel pipe 1 is inserted into a pipe plate hole 2' of an austenitic stainless steel pipe plate 2, and a pipe end position of the pipe 1 is made to nearly coincide with the bottom part of a groove 3 of the pipe plate 2 provided on the pipe inserting back side of the pipe plate hole 2'. In this state, welding is executed by using an austenitic stainless steel filler rod 4 and generating an arc 6 from a tungsten electrode 5 separated as far as possible from the pipe 1. In this way, it is possible to form a weld metal 7 which reduces a dilution quantity 8 from the pipe 1, is >=30% in a dilution ratio of the ferritic stainless steel pipe 1, whose Vickers' hardness is low hardness of <= about 250, and also whose toughness is kept sufficiently. |
