PURPOSE:To reduce the seeking sound of a step motor at a low speed time by exciting 1-2 phase of the motor at a low speed time, and exciting 2-phase of the motor at a high speed time, thereby utilizing the advantages for them. CONSTITUTION:When low speed stepping rate is selected by a controller, a switch 2 is opened, AND gates AND11, AND21, AND31, AND41 are slected, 1-2 phase of a step motor is excited under the control of signals phi11, phi21, phi31, phi41, and a seeking operation is performed. On the other hand, when a high speed stepping rate is selected by the controller, the switch 2 is closed to select AND gates AND12, AND22, AND32, AND42, and the step motor is excited at 2-phase under the control of signals phi12, phi22, phi32, phi42, and a seeking operation is performed. |
