PURPOSE:To attain to reduce the resistance value of a gas detecting element and the irregularity thereof and to facilitate the circuit constitution of a gas leakage alarm or the like, by forming unit elements each consisting of a gas sensitive film and an electrode film provided so as to be extended from one end of said gas sensitive film but not reaching the other end thereof in a mutually laminated state. CONSTITUTION:The numeral 3 shows metal oxide semiconductive ceramic, for example, a gas sensitive film based on SnO2 and is fabricated by a doctor blade method or the like. An electrode film 4 is provided on the gas sensitive film 3. One end part of this electrode film 4 reaches one end part of the gas sensitive film 3 and is used as an electrode terminal 5. However, the other end part of the electrod film 4 is extended so as not to reach the other end part of the gas sensitive film and a unit element 6 is formed. The unit elements 6 each formed as mentioned above are laminated so as to mutually arrange the electrode terminals left and right and external electrodes, 7, 8 are formed so as to respectively connects the gathering of the left and the right electrode terminals 5 to form a laminate type gas detecting element. |
