PURPOSE:To prevent dirtying and damaging to a reading end face, by providing a minute gap between the reading end face of a fiber array plate and an original plane so that the reading end face of the fiber array is not directly contacted with the original. CONSTITUTION:A minute gap 4 is formed between the original plane and the reading end face of the fiber array 1 by providing a wear resistance layer 3 at an outer layer glass lower surface at both sides of the reading end face of the fiber array 1 so that the reading end face is not contacted with the original plane. That is, since the reading end face of the fiber array 1 is recessed by the thickness of the wear resistance layer 3 to the fiber array plate lower surface through the forming of the wear resistance layer 3, the minute gap 4 is formed between the paper plane and the reading end face in loading the plate on the original plane. |
