The device comprises refractory storage material in the form of bricks, plates or the like, placed or arranged in the combustion chamber to surround the burner flame at least partially. To improve the heat economy of such a burner device, intended for e.g. heating plants, it is provided according to the invention that the storage material has an inner layer of high thermal conductivity and good temperature shock resistance, facing towards the burner flame, and an outer layer with low thermal conductivity and high heat storage capacity, facing away from the burner flame. |
