PURPOSE:To put making on an alloy product with less ruggedness and without generating any burr and strain, by controlling the heat energy to be irradiated to said product. CONSTITUTION:The desired very small area of a brass product 4 or the like is concentrated with heat energy such as a laser beam, electron beam or the like which is so controlled as to evaporate selectively the specific component, for example, zinc, in a product compsn. and migrates the alloy component elements on the surface. A color tone is changed in the desired surface of an object in the region of about 100mu in line width and several mu in a depth direction. The marking having less ruggedness is formed in the optional place of the product according to purposes by the above-mentioned method. |
