PURPOSE:To enable quick and easy coping with height limitations in the transportation of a vehicle and that for the improvement of the field of vision of an operator at work, by enabling an exhaust pipe to be titled over an engine cover as the pipe remains connected to the body of a muffler. CONSTITUTION:The body 2 of a muffler and an exhaust pipe 6 projecting on an engine cover 4 are connected to each other through a heat-resisting flexible bellows tube 8. The exhaust pipe 6 is secured on a hinge plate 10 pivotally coupled to the engine cover 4, so that the exhaust pipe can be titled back and forth over the engine cover 4. The hinge plate 10 is pivotally coupled at one end 12 to the engine cover 4 and removably mounted at the other end on the engine cover by a bolt 14 planted in the cover and extending through the notch of the hinge plate and by a wing nut 18 tightened with a washer 16 on the bolt. |
