<p>A tilt and telescope steering wheel with a push button keyboard (70) non-rotatably mounted within the steering wheel (14) has a foot actuated release mechanism (116) for simultaneous disengagement of tilt lock (85) and telescope lock (131) mechanisms. A readout instrument panel (78) with various indicators thereon rigidly attached to and tiltable with the steering column (12) so as to provide a constant angular correlation with the steering wheel (14) facilitating an unobstructed view of the panel (78) in all steering wheel (14) tilt positions. </p> |
