On this sound pick-up, a metallic bridge part (2) of the type of a bridge insert across the strings and underneath them is arranged. The bridge part (2) is used as housing for at least one piezo-electric sensor (3) which is located between a bottom base (2a) of the bridge part (2) and at least one pressure piece (4) at the cover side, the pressure pieces (4) being exposed to the bearing pressure of the string tension and transmitting the string vibrations friction-locked to the sensors. The sensors (3) are metallised, in particular, and connected at their base and at their cover surfaces with one each of a positive and earth polarity (3+, 3-) of electrical signal lines (P, M) leading to an amplifier. At least one end (2.1) of the bridge part (2) is associated with a hollow metallic body (8) which accommodates a plug socket (9) for a connecting cable and is metallically connected to the bridge part (2) as earth and is connected to the shielded positive signal conductor (P) of the bridge part (2) with the positive terminal (9.1) of its plug socket. <IMAGE>
