PURPOSE:To increase radical reaction speed by preventing the obstruction of radical reaction due to oxygen in air, by arranging an air blocking member on the transfer material containing a radical reactive component arranged to a base material. CONSTITUTION:When the energy of light or energy of light and heat is applied to a transfer recording medium, wherein a transfer material 2 is laminated to a base material 3 and an air blocking member 1 is laminated further onto said transfer material, in accordance with an image signal, radical reaction is generated in the transfer material 2 at the part of energy application and the physical properties such as m.p. and a softening point etc. of said part change as the result of said reaction and, therefore, the transfer property thereof changes. After an image for (latent image) is formed at the part changed in transfer property, heat or pressure is applied in a transfer process to carry out transfer. At the time of the radical reaction in said latent image forming process, oxygen preliminarily contained in the transfer material 2 obstructs the reaction but, because the amount thereof is small and the supply of new oxygen from the outside is obstructed by the air blocking member 1, the reaction advances rapidly. |
