PURPOSE:To discriminate the defect of load side or an inverter side by detecting the DC side overcurrent of the inverter, interrupting the gate of an inverter and monitoring by a microcomputer the varying width of the output voltage at that time. CONSTITUTION:The DC power of a converter 1 is converted to AC power by an inverter 2 to drive a synchronous motor 3, the gate signal of the inverter 2 is applied from a microcomputer 5, thereby variably controlling the frequency. The outputs of a current detecting current transformer 7 of an inverter DC side smoothing condenser 6 and an inverter AC side output voltage detecting transformer 8 are applied to the microcomputer 5, the gate is interrupted in the overcurrent state, and the varying width of the detected voltage of the transformer 8 at that time is monitored, thereby discriminating whether the defect of the inverter side or motor side exists. Accordingly, the discrimination by a software can be enable by applying to a digital type inverter. |
