Combinations of 9-[[2-hydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)-ethoxy] methyl]guanine and at least one other antivirally active drug such as phosphonoacetic acid and its salts, phosphonoformic acid and its salts, acycloguanosine, or a 5-(2-halogenovinyl)-2'-deoxyuridine show synergy in their activity against various herpesvirus infections including HSV-1 and HSV-2. |
