A lip seal for sealing against board-shaped parts, preferably centre boards in centre board wells of sailing boats or sailboards, consists of a profiled strip of flexible material. In order to provide sealing against board-shaped parts which are pushed through and avoid tilting and wedging, the strip consists of a box-shaped hollow profile, the front side wall (3, 9) of which, which faces the part (8) to be sealed off, encloses with the latter an acute angle.
