<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make pulse thin after compressing the pulse without depending on the spectrum band width of transmitting pulse and improve distance resolution, in transmitting and receiving of a radar, a sonar, and the like. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a cross-correlation computing part 11 computing the cross-correlation function against an input signal and a correlation signal previously prepared for restraining side lobe, and an auto- correlation computing part 12 computing the auto-correlation function as to the output of the cross-correlation computing part 11. Hereat, when the cross- correlation of the input signal and the correlation signal is searched, because the spectrum distribution of cross-correlation output is expressed by product of the spectrum distribution of the input signal and the spectrum distribution of the correlation signal, when the correlation signal is selected to be wider than the spectrum distribution of the input signal, the spectrum of the cross- correlation output is enlarged than the spectrum of the input signal. When the auto-correlation function as to such cross-correlation output is searched, the pulse is compressed into narrower width than the pulse width of the input signal.</p> |
