PURPOSE:To release limit of selection of the resin to be used, by adding sodium aluminosilicate contg. sulfur to an electrostatic image developing toner consisting of resin and colorant. CONSTITUTION:Sodium aluminosilicate contg. sulfur exhibits positive chargeability below the border line of 27ml/100g oil absorption amt. and negative chargeability above the border line, therefore, said silicate contg. <=27ml oil per 100g is used for a positive charging toner, and said silicate contg. >=34ml oil per 100g is used for a negative charging toner. The oil absorption amt. of this compd. is usually determined as follows: Linseed oil is dropped little by little to 1,000g of its dried sample, about 100g pressure is applied, the mixture is well kneaded, and the min. content of the oil in the mixture which can be formed into one sphere, is calculated in terms of m of oil per 100g of the dried sample. A preferable content of said silicate compd. in the toner is 0.3wt% per resin. |
