PURPOSE:To decrease the number of processes and to simplify the process management, by preparing a different thickness plate whose plate thickness is different partially in advance, and manufacturing a steel pipe with an arrester by use of this different thickness plate. CONSTITUTION:A different thickness plate is prepared in advance to conform to prescribed dimensions, and by use of this plate, a steel pipe with an arrester is manufactured by a bending system or a UOE system. In this way, cutting of a pipe, end face working, welding, etc. in case when installing a conventional arrester pipe can be omitted, the process management is simplified, and also this method is advantageous in respect of a quality, too. |
