<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility for failure even if a flowmeter receives the impulse wave pressure which occurs in backfire or the like and directs from the down stream to the upper stream directly, by throttling the opening on the down stream side of a cylindrical member which contains a metallic wire for a hot wire to a tapered shape. CONSTITUTION:A ring 9 consisting of a metallic member is fitted in a cylindrical member 25 provided in a suction air pipe 2 forming a suction air line 1 and a metallic wire 10 for a hot wire consisting of platinum is extended rightly at a right angle to the direction where the suction air flows. Since the sectional shape of the air through-hole 26 of the member 25 is throttled to a tapered shape from the prescribed position 2b of the member 25 to a down stream end 25c, said member has the buffer function against the impulse wave pressure from the down stream by backfire or the like.</p> |
