<p>1-Alkynyl-amino-1-thiazollylmthylthioalkylaminoethyleness and related compds. of formula (I) and their salts are new; (where R1 = C3-9 alkynyl; R2,R3 = H, C1-6 alkyl, guanidino or (CH2)pNR4R5; R4,R5 = H, C1-6 alkyl, Ph; n = 2,3,; p = 1,2,3,; X = NR6 or CHR6; R6 = CN, NO2, SO2R7; and R7 = C1-6 alkyl, Ph optionally contg. 1 or 2 halogen or C1-6 alkyl). (I) are histamine H2-receptor blocking agents that inhibit gastric secretion and are useful for treating peptic ulcers(in tests 2 compds. (I) were over twice as potent as cimetidine for in-hibiting gastric acid output in the rat). Dose is 250-1000 mg daily.</p> |
