PURPOSE:To enable to drive a step motor in excitation system of various type by partly omitting and operating the sequence of W1-2-phase excitations. CONSTITUTION:The collectors of chopper transistors 21, 22 are connected to a motor drive power source 23, and the emitters are connected to exciting coils 24- 27. The other ends of the coils 24-27 are connected to the collectors of switching transistors 28, 29, 32, 33. The controls for ON or OFF of the transistors 28, 29, 32, 33 and for switching the voltages of reference voltage switching circuits 37, 38 are formed by an ROM41. The voltages of current detecting resistors 31, 34 and the voltages of reference voltage switching circuits 37, 38 are respectively compared by comparators 35, 36, the outputs of which controls ON or OFF of the transistors 21, 22, thereby controlling in constant current the coils 24-27 to desired values. The counting operation of the counter 42 is varied by the speed switching signal 43, thereby switching the control operation of an ROM41. |
