A dual circuit brake system is proposed which is equipped with a dual circuit pressure transducer (1) which charges two brake circuits (I, II) with a pressure variable as a function of the load. In order to achieve this, the piston (diaphragm 26) controlling the rear axle brake pressure is provided with a device (support element 27) having an effective surface varying under the effect of a directly input load signal, which device is externally adjustable and by means of which the two pressures, controllable by the pressure transducer (1), can be varied as a function of the load. The dual circuit brake system is preferably useable for pneumatic brakes of motor vehicles. <IMAGE>
