<p>The vehicle heading reference system disclosed receives signals from a navigation transmitter chain such as the Omega navigation transmitter chain, and/or the VLF transmitter chain (A,B,D) and processes the signals to determine the heading of the vehicle (CV) on which the heading reference system is located. To accomplish this, direction finding techniques are utilized to determine the direction from which signals (b1, a, b2) are received from each navigation transmitter (A,B,D). This information is processed to determine the heading of the vehicle (NCV) with respect to true north (CN).</p> |
