PURPOSE:To diagnose quickly and accurately faults or the like of a data transfer line and a buffer without increasing the number of parts, by providing a means which checks data on the buffer and data transferred through a central processing device by a data transfer controlling means. CONSTITUTION:In case of check of the buffer in a write operation system, if a buffer 13 is empty, the request of data transmission is issued from a transfer controlling part 17 to a main storage device 11 time after time until data attains a prescribed quantity. Data transmitted from the main storage device 11 is received at every time of the transmission by the buffer 13. Data is set to a buffer 16 to process parity check PC of data and the data transfer controlling part 17 informs a central processing device 12 that data is set to the buffer 16. When receiving this information, the central processing device 12 reads contents of the buffer 16 by a program and makes the buffer 16 empty and is held stand-by until the next information to execute data read again. |
